Los Angeles discoveries: Episode 1- Passion Fruit!

I noticed this incredible flower at my sister's house. Turns out it is a passion fruit flower! With further investigation i believe it's the Passiflora caerulea, or blue passion flower, specfically. The fruit it bears is orange with red edible seeds. They don't taste that great, but they don't taste bad either. It is not the same as the more common passion fruit variety you can find in markets. Keep your eyes open, maybe there is a passion fruit flower on a vine near you!
