Apple Brains is juicing up for a furry return........

Hello Fruit friends!  It's been a few years hiatus during which Apple Brains was exploring the many wonders of Mexico, but we are back and with much to share! Keep a look out for more blog posts and most importantly, new tunes!  These are gonna smell and sound a little different though, so snouts up!  They are about a four-legged something that ALSO enjoys fruit... any idea what that could be?  Expect bite sized samples soon!

Don't miss out on our latest video, Fruit Confusion Blues!!  You see, Wonder Worm is secretly scheming from his blueberry base on the moon.  He has a confusion beam, that for reasons unknown he wishes to use on his very own bandmates!!  And use it he does!!!! The band members magically return to their childhood and their time at the Fruit Academy, when they first learned the differences between fruits and vegetables.  Oh it was a confusing time for our young heroes!  Not only was fruit quite confusing, but so were the messages they recieved from teachers, parents, just about everyone and everything!  Ahhh, to be young.  But back to the story....  Our young heroes let their confused emotions get the best of them, and have quite a scuffle on the playground.  But in the end, they put their confusion aside and the confusion beam explodes on itself!  It's no simple sitcom folks, our heroes still have a long way to go until they make sense of things, but they are using their brains and eating their fruits and definitely on the right track.  Now as for Wonder Worm, it seems like his confusion beam backfired on him!  Leaving him the most truly confused of all........

Pasadena Earth and Arts Festival

Hello out there! Apple Brains launched a kickstarter last night to help fund the "Frutero" video we are working on, and it was successfully funded in 12 HOURS!! WOW!! Thanks everyone for the tremendous show of support. Our campaign is a month long, and even though we've reached our goal, you can still give, and all money will go into doing publicity for the video and for Apple Brains. Check it out here. Had a great time filming a video for "Frutero" this weekend. It'll be pretty silly. Here's some green screen magic to be and the band hanging at the Frutero cart mid-shoot. Look for the video early February!

Get Fruity!! Released on Vinyl, Tape, and Reissued on CD!

Yello Fruiterinos! Apple Brains' debut Album "Get Fruity!!" got a proper release the other day and I'm super excited about it! Slovenly Recordings has produced a big apple green vinyl album that includes a coloring book inner sleeve AND decal sheet with full color stickers! It's quite a package to behold. They also released the CD, decal sheet included! This means you should be able to find it at an independent minded record store near you. If you don't see it, request it! Check it out!

Our pals over at Burger Records also sweetened the musical format diversity deal with a limited addition tape release!

If you have any way to listen to music besides an 8-track or mini-disc, Apple Brains is ready for ya!

Getting Fruity with the Mayor!

Apple Brains and the Fruit Experts are very excited to partake in this amazing event happening Saturday December 17th! It's a toy drive for the students of 6 elementary students (3000 kids!). There is gonna be a lot of great performers, and even LA's Mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa will be with us! Look for photos and video to come.
